Established in 2009, the department has blossomed into a major education centre essentially due to the combined efforts of a very dedicated team of staff and students who are committed to the overall development of department and institute. The department has produced outstanding engineers, who have successfully proved their professional competence in their respective disciplines. The department lays special emphasis on human values, ethics, apart from academic excellence.
  The department has well equipped 16 laboratories, computational and research facilities to support academic programs and carrying out collaborative and interdisciplinary research. The department has well equipped workshop consisting of six different sections. The workshop is having small & heavy duty machines, with safety measures in line with the industrial standards.
  We offer an interactive learning environment with a good blend of theory and practice. We are proud to have a departmental library and e-learning resources. A vibrant Mechanical Engineering Students’ Association (MESA) and IEI Students’ Chapter organizes a number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for the all round development of the students.
  To conclude, I would like to reiterate that, we are committed to produce outstanding engineers, with sound theoretical and practical knowledge, exposure to industry and respect for human values.
